Project Description Country: USA Location: North Platte, NE Total Budget: $1,206 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: Paint and work days for Habitat for Humanity Safe, affordable housing is in short supply in North Platte. Habitat for Humanity is partnering with our community to provide affordable home ownership opportunity to four North Platte families each year. With this grant, North Platte Rotary will purchase the primer, interior and exterior paint for one home. In addition, the club will sponsor two workdays at a home site. Each workday will require 8 - 10 Rotarians as well as food for 20 workers. The food will be provided by funds outside of the grant. Exterior Paint - $159 per 5 gallon bucket * 3 = $ 477 Interior Primer - $68 per gallon * 3 Gallons = $ 204 Interior Paint - $175 per 5 gallon bucket * 3 = $ 525 Total Expense $1,206 The club did a similar project during club year 2023-2024. Members asked that the project become an annual event.
