Project Description Country: USA Location: National City Total Budget: $1,200 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Activity Type: Water: Volunteer Services Summary: Offering basic hygiene and friendship to our neighbors without homes through the dignity of a hot shower. We plan to support the non-profit, San Diego Rescue Mission, that provides hot showers to the many homeless in our community. To run these showers, it costs $2500 a month. They provide trailers that have 4 showers, to, toiletries, clothes, etc. They are provided each week. National City Rotary would like to sponsor 1 month of showers of this cost. Provide a sense of dignity to homeless who want to receive help when they want to move above their circumstances. We will ask for sponsorships through a community event with finger foods, raffles and introduce this project to our community.
