Summary: One in three Alaskan families struggle to provide clean diapers for their baby. We want to help change that.
Babies need diapers to thrive. Families with young children are especially vulnerable right now as they struggle to find formula, child care, housing and pay for increased costs of food and gas. Every little bit we, as a community, can do to help ease the worry and scarcity a family faces, is a step towards making sure children have a safe and loving place in which to grow. Diapers are as essential to a baby's healthy development as a caregiver's love. Keeping infants and toddlers clean, dry, and healthy is key to building a solid foundation for all children to reach their full potential. In Homer, Sprout Family Services ("Sprout")is the local agency that distributes diapers to families with that need. The mission of Sprout is to promote the healthy development of children in partnership with families and community. It is a long standing and respected agency in the community.
