Project Description Country: Sri Lanka Location: Galauda Haliella Total Budget: $2,800 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Outfit Computer Lab for Nurniya Naha Vidyalaya School including electrical upgrades, education and desks Rotary Club of Uva Hills identified a need for a computer lab in rural Galauda Haliella, Badulla District Sri Lanka. The club arranged for the space for the lab with the administration. The lab will allow students to access computers for school work and access information via additional access to the internet. The Rotary club of Uva Hills has already provided repurposed computers. The project will repair wall surfaces, upgrade electrical to meet the revised demand of the room, provide computer chairs and tables for the students, provide an instructors chair, purchase UPS for the computers, provide study materials and orientation for the teachers and students, purchase four additional computers bringing the lab size up to 12. Funding willing, the work is to be completed by the end of the 25/26 Rotary Year.
