Ignite Idaho Family Resource Center's mission is strengthening families to strengthen communities. They offer an array of programs for families and individuals supporting the West Central Mountains of Idaho. Wrap-around services are offered for whole-family support, including a 24/7 crisis center and The Anchor- a youth assessment center. Through partnerships with dozens of organizations and agencies, Ignite connects community members and visitors with the resources they need to thrive. Programs and events include parenting classes, well-ness drop-in childcare, parent-child connection events, counseling- including a special walk-in counseling for crisis situations, in-home behavioral services, support services including case management, peer support, recovery coaching, as well as several programs for kids to learn leadership skills and connect in a healthy and fun environment through afterschool and weekly summer camp programs.
Rotary funds will be used to support these programs through the purchase of equipment including a PA system for community events/presentation, Nintendo game console with pre-loaded games for pre-teen and teens to connect with healthy peers and adults, and security cameras to be located in the crisis area, snacks and miscellaneous supplies. The McCall Rotary Club has been actively working with Ignite Idaho for the past two years. For this project, Rotarians will volunteer at their annual Courage to Connect Chili Cook-Off, help setup for community programs and events, assist staff with youth during after school and summer programs, connect Ignite Idaho with local businesses for the new youth community service project where youth will learn to give back by volunteering their time to give a helping hand.
