Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Verde Valley, Arizona

Total Budget: $3,750

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Cottonwood

The Rotary Club of the Verde Valley is allocating $3750 towards providing essential supplies and resources to three low-income schools in the Verde Valley, Arizona. This initiative aims to support students and educators by ensuring they have access to necessary materials for learning and teaching. We are stepping up to fill the void left by a program that concluded last school year. This initiative, aimed at supporting schools with a significant population of low-income students in the Verde Valley, involves purchasing essential resources at discounted rates. Club members will visit each of the three schools to replenish their supply cases, focusing on high-demand items such as graphing paper and pencils. These supplies will be distributed throughout the school year, with replenishments scheduled approximately every 2 to 3 months.
