Summary: To provide a schlorship to a graduating HS student to continue their education in the Culinary Arts


The Careers through Culinary Arts Program provides schlorships for graduating HS students who have successfully completed the school year program. The Southwest Chapter of C-CAP provides 30 schlorships for student to continue their education in the Culinary Arts. The Verrado Rotary would like to continue to offer a $5,000 award to a local student. This program is national in scope and has the full support of our club. Club member Chef Kevin Barko and his wife Amy volunteer countless hours to run this chapter. The award breakfast happens at the end of April where students find out what they have earned. The whole process builds confidence, self esteen, and leadership skills.

The C-CAP project funding from the VRf was approves at our July meeting. This project starts up in the new school year with compettions staring in January The final 32 students awarded schlorships to continue their education. The Rotary Club of Verrado will offer one $5,000 scholarship to a local student.
