Summary: 816 dictionaries will be distributed to 3rd graders in the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix AZ


Roosevelt School District is located in South Phoenix. Teachers are looking for community involvementand tools for learning. Teachers have told us they incorporate the dictionaries in their classes, and dictionaries are allowed in Aptitude testing whereas tablets are not. The Kyrene Rotary Club plans to use the funds to purchase the dictionaries in the summer of 2025 (or as soon as funds are available.) Around 80% of the club is involved in scheduling, adding labels, or passing out dictionaries in the classroom.
