Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Arizona

Total Budget: $3,750

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: Scholarship

Summary: Fund will be used to sponsor several students to the Sr RYLA and Jr RYLA camps in the 2025 Club year. Students selected for scholarship will be able to attend the RYLA weekend camps outside of Prescott, AZ

RLYA is a 'fantastic" weekend opportunity for AZ high school and middle school students. We had three high school students recently attend one of our weekly Club meetings to share about their RYLA experience. Their comments were very inspiring to our members. The RYLA District Director, AJ Sheridan, also attended and spoke about RYLA. Our Club wants to support RYLA as much as we can in the 2025/2026 Club year.

Funds received will be used to fund scholarships for this upcoming Club year. Our Club wants to be involved in interviewing students who apply for a RYLA scholarship.
