Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Loveland

Total Budget: $10,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: This grant will pay for the placement of a welcoming and informational kiosk in the new veterans honor monument in Loveland

Through various events and activities, the Veterans Honor Monument will provide a platform where Loveland residents my honor military veterans and the sacrifices they made for their country. It will be a place for remembrance, healing, and emotional and spiritual closure for family, friends, and veterans. This project is to place a welcoming and informational kiosk at the entrance to the monument.

The Loveland Rotary club veterans committee will review the design of the kiosk and provide inputs to the Veterans Honor Monument Committee. In addition, we will assign one person from the Loveland Rotary veterans committee to participate in ongoing meetings to discuss design, installation, time-frame, and more.

Rotarians from the Loveland Rotary Club and the Thompson Valley Rotary club veterans committee will attend various activities at the Veterans Honor Monument and provide additional grants in the future in support of veterans with needs such as PTSD.

Stephen,

All District grants need Rotarian involvement with the grant itself. The club cannot just write a check to have the Kiosk remodeled. That involvement can be updates on the project or meetings with Veterans on why the Kiosk needs to be redone? I'm not sure what would work best but what you have down in the description is all after the project is completed so will not work as club involvement.

Stephen,

The District had $18,000 more grant requests than available DDF for the 25 - 26 grant year. In order to meet the available DDF it was determined that we need to reduce the 3 tier levels to the next lower tier or $1,000. I have cancelled your signature process and reduced your DDF request by $1,000. You will need to either reduce the total budget for your grant or increase your club giving by $1,000 so it balances. Once you have made this adjustment please start the signature process again.

If you have any questions please email or call me at 970-629-0654.
