Location: Huntington Beach

Total Budget: $1,248

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Community Development: General

Summary: Partner with local charity to provide Thanksgiving food baskets to families of at risk High School students.

Our club has been partnering with Robyne's Nest, a Huntington Beach based charity that supports at-risk High School students and their families by supplying Thanksgiving food baskets for several years. Items to be purchased include nonperishable items used to prepare the Thanksgiving dinner and other meals throughout the extended Thanksgiving weekend. It is estimated that approximately 20 families will receive baskets from our club. Robyne's nest is a non-profit organization exempt under the 501(c)(3) section of the IRS code. The project will run from November 1 to November 27 2025.

Our club members participate by shopping for food, filling baskets, and presenting the baskets to Robyne's Nest. Approximately 10 to 15 members participate.
