Project Description Country: USA Location: Garden Grove, CA Total Budget: $2,500 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Support the City of Garden Grove Human Services Division with their Holiday Gift Program The purpose of this project is to partner with the City of Garden Grove Human Services Division to provide support during the Holidays to low-income families. The Grant money will be used to purchase holiday gifts (e.g. toys/gifts, hygiene supplies, clothing, art supplies, gift cards and distribute them to qualified families with children, teens and seniors. The distributions will be made at the Buena Clinton and Magnolia Park Family Resource Centers. There will be at least 6 Garden Grove Rotarians involved in the project. Two of the members will meet with the GG Human Resource personnel regarding the qualifications and appropriate gift selection. The other four or more will help with boxing and preparation and in the distribution process.
