Project Description Country: USA Location: Lexington, NE Total Budget: $1,045 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: This project would utilize funds to renovate existing playground equipment sponsored by the Lexington Rotary Club as well as purchase a new bench/playground equipment for individuals to utilize. The Lexington Rotary Club has previously provided playground equipment at the Lexington Baseball/Softball Complex. There is a sign that is located at the property recognizing this donation, but due to normal wear and tear, is no longer legible. The equipment itself also is need of a renovation and there is the potential for a new piece of equipment or a bench for families to utilize while their children are playing on the equipment. This piece is located at a location that is very busy with youth and would encourage physical activity and fellowship for all while attending activities at the complex. This would also be a great location to display Rotary's signature logo to bring attention to our involvement in the community and potentially spark interest for those to join. Perhaps a QR code could be located on the new sign, directing individuals to our club website for more information about Rotary.
