Community Development: Construction/Renovation
Summary: Safety and recreational updates to the living faciilites of young mothers experiencing homelessness
Our club recognizes that the strength of the maternal bond is critical to the social development of our community. In supporting this mission, we will partner with Passage House to enrich the lives of mothers and their infant and toddler children by improving safety and recreational activities within this living space that provides this safe haven for these young women and children. The home provides a residential facility to homeless young adult pregenancy clientle (ages 13-21) within the Anchorage bowl area to enhance the independence of these working women as they pursue career goals to support their faimiles. This project will provide funding for needed facility maintenance and playground improvements at the Passage House facility in Anchorage Alaska. 100% of the residents will benfit from the increased outdoor improvements and interior modifications.
