Rotary E Club has supported high school and college tuition for students in the Santa Lucia area, outside of Antigua for over the past five six years. Four students remain in college. Two will graduate in December 2025 and need funds for computers to complete their thesis in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering. Two will remain in college in Business Administration and Computer Engineering who have been also working in their fields (accounting and computer engineering) and will contribute to their second-semester fees.
This coming school year, a total of $ 2000 will pay for tuition and enrollment costs for one semester for the two remaining college students and those graduating to have adequate computers to write their thesies. These students are the first in their respective families to finish high school and attend college. For the second semester, contributions to their education, including internet access, transportation, English classes, and books, will be supplied by a group of women who are members and friends of our EClub.
Less than 1% of the population in Guatemala has a college degree. Supporting these students helps communities in upward economic mobility.Guatemala is slowly getting tits economy back to normal after the pandemic Of 2020-22.
