Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Support the Enlisted Project (STEP) - Thanksgiving Food Drive Holiday Programs--STEP has Thanksgiving and holiday programs to help military and veteran families have what they need during the holidays without impacting their financial wellness. Thanksgiving Food Drive. 1 in 4 Military families face food insecurity, which means holidays can bring added financial stress instead of joy. Food costs have climbed every year, and this year is no different. The holidays can be stressful on an already tight budget, and the skyrocketing cost of living isn't making it any easier. That's why STEP is here to provide our enlisted military and Veteran families with a festive Thanksgiving meal. There are many documented cases of young military families stating that without the help of STEP, they wouldn't have a Thanksgiving meal.
