1. Mathadi Hospital (Trust) is a charitable hospital providing comprehensive health care to 40,000 Mathadi workers and their family members (total 150,000 beneficiaries) for the past 45 years. The patients are from the weaker section of the society. The trust is having one main hospital in Navi Mumbai and 14 Health care center at various locations in Mumbai. Mathadi workers are labors working in Steel Yard, Transport, Vegetable, food grain wholesale markets. They are hired as & when trucks to be loaded / unloaded and there is no fixed income stream for the family. They come in the bracket of economically weaker section of the society.
Our club and many other Rotary clubs are supporting this hospital. One GG project for providing 2 nos Dental Chairs & One Sonography ( Colour Doppler)machine is in progress & expected to complete the Project by December 2024.
2. There is no financial support from the Government or any agencies.
3. Power consumption in one of the building is over INR 180,000/- & by providing solar power they reduce the power bill by almost 60-70% and also helps in reducing the carbon foot print. The estimated cost of the project is 32000 USD
4.Once the project is approved as Global Grant project, the same can be completed including commissioning with in 4 months
5,. Entire amount received will be used for procuring & installing Solar power panels, Inverters, Civil & electrical works. Nil towards Project management cost. No consultants will be used as we have in-house capabilities
6. our club members is / will be involved in identifying the vendor, designing, execution, project management, commissioning.
7.THERE IS NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST. None of members or their family or close relatives or friends are neither supplier or beneficiaries.
