Promote the socioeconomic development of the town of Palomos, Fredonia, Antioquia, through gastronomy, crafts and tourist services.
Specific objectives:
Train 20 female heads of household in the preparation of traditional food and food handling, generating 5 direct jobs and promoting this type of activity in the territory.
Offer training to 30 people from the community in traditional crafts techniques, promoting entrepreneurship and the generation of 8 direct jobs.
Expand job opportunities for 30 young people through training as tourist guides, focusing on the creation of cultural events, leadership and teamwork through the alliance with Rotary.

"Territorial Links" focuses on the district of Palomos, Fredonia, Antioquia, a community characterized by its geographic richness and multicultural population of 500 inhabitants. The project strengthens the local economy through training tools that allow the learning of skills in the production and sale of gastronomic products, encourages the creation and sale of crafts
representative of the region and at the same time trains young people as tourist guides.

Palomos is a place with landscapes of great natural wealth and high tourism potential, but it faces difficulties in retaining tourists due to the lack of essential services, such as restaurants, hotels and tourist guides. It was identified that the community needs to promote the development of gastronomic, artisanal and cultural spaces by training 80 people, allowing them to obtain new sources of employment.
SUSTAINABILITY: (explain how the project will continue to operate once the financial support you receive for this project ends)
The sustainability of the project is achieved by strengthening the knowledge of the inhabitants to produce and sell new products. The 20 women who will receive training in traditional food preparation and food handling will do so at RAGNAROK (Hostal el Palmar, which works on cultural and hiking issues), where it is estimated that 5 direct jobs will be created. The 30 participants in the craft training will develop their products and will be able to market them at the headquarters of the Communal Action, which will generate 8 jobs. In addition, the 30 young people who will receive training as tourist guides at the Palomos Rural Educational Institution will be able to replicate their knowledge and improve their economic income in RAGNAROK

The community is actively involved in the project. From the beginning, they participated in interviews and in the identification of key needs such as gastronomy and crafts. Local organizations and community leaders have contributed to the planning of activities, which ensures that the project is sustainable over time.
