Nepal's diverse topography and reliance on agriculture make it particularly vulnerable to climate change effects such as erratic rainfall, floods, and droughts. These challenges threaten food security and livelihoods, especially in rural and marginalized communities. Building climate resilience is essential to safeguard these communities and ensure sustainable development.

Objectives:

Enhance adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities to climate-induced hazards.

Implement climate-smart agricultural practices to ensure food security.

Strengthen local infrastructure to withstand climate-related disasters.

Promote sustainable natural resource management to reduce environmental degradation.

Activity

1. Introduce drought-resistant crop varieties.

2. Train farmers in sustainable farming techniques.

3. Establish community seed banks

4. Conduct workshops on disaster preparedness.

5. Form community-based disaster response teams.​
