Rural South Africa continues to be plagued by poverty, unemployment and gender based violence due to women dependency on men for daily sustenance. As such, sustainable beekeeping is a lowest hanging fruit for rural women and youth (especially those who reside adjacent national parks and forest resource) to gain financial independence honey production, candle making from beeswax and home remedies from propolis. This we will achieve by creating sustainable beekeeping enterprises for target communities with the overall impact on environment conversation by virtue of the role play in restoration of biodiversity.
